Yup. I've been spring cleaning... my room really looks like a tornado ripped through it... but it has been very interesting to find things that are from my childhood... and I mean way back. (Yes... I am the biggest pack rat ever... I admit it)
So anyways, besides old toys, old notes and old food... I came across something that was given to us as motivation for a particular journal assignement in Grade 8. Oh wow. Grade 8. That's already 5 years ago. That seems long... yet at the same time... look at how you acted and looked, what you liked and didn't like. That was only 5 years ago... look how much we've all changed... drastically. 5 years is nothing.
But anyways, back to the point... here are the things that she happened to use as suggestion. Note... they are long... but they are all so very true. It's about what we have learned in general... in life, love, friends etc.
Props to Ms. Gordon for her genius mind that put up with us for a year:
- I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
- I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
- I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
- I've learned that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
- I've learnedthat it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
- I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving word. It may be the last time you see them.
- I've learned that you can keep going long after you can't.
- I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
- I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
- I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
- I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
- I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
- I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and still have the best time.
- I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down, will be the ones to help you get back up.
- I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
- I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
- I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
- I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
- I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
- I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other... and just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.
- I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
- I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
- I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.
- I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
- I've learned that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
- I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
Pretty intense huh.
I liked em all.
I do miss those days though...

This is to the nice girls who are overlooked, who become friends and nothing more, who spend hours fixating upon their looks and their personalities and their actions, because it must be they that are doing something wrong.
this is for the girls who understand that they aren't perfect and that the guys they're interested in aren't either, and for the other girls who flirt and laugh and worry and obsess over the slightest glance, whisper, touch, because somehow they are able to keep alive that hope that maybe, maybe this time he'll have understood.
this is an homage to the girls who laugh loud and often, who are comfortable in skirts and sweats and combat boots, who care more than they should for guys who don't deserve their attention.
this is for those girls who have been in the trenches, who have watched other girls time and time again fake up, make up and fuck up the guys in their lives without saying a word.
this is for the girls who have been there from the beginning and have heard the trite words of advice, from "there are plenty of fish in the sea," to "time heals all wounds."
this is to honor those girls who know that guys are just as scared as they are, who know that they deserve better.
this is for the girls who have never been in love, but know that it's an experience that they don't want to miss out on.
this is for the girls who have spent their weekends sitting on the sidelines of a beer bong tournament or a case race, or playing Florence Nightingale for a vomiting guy friend or a comatose crush, who have recieved a drunk phone call just before dawn from someone who doesn't care enough to invite them over but is still willing to pass out in their bed.
this is for the girls who have left sad song lyrics in their away messages, who have tried to make someone understand through a subliminally appealing profile, who have time and time again dropped their male friend hint after hint after hint only to watch him chase after the first blonde girl in a skirt.
this is for the girls who have been told that they're too good or too smart or too pretty, who have been given compliments as a way of breaking off a relationship, who have ever been told they are only wanted as a friend.
this one's for the girls who you can take home to mom, but won't because it's easier to sleep with a bitch than foster a relationship; this is for the girls who have been led on by words and kisses and touches, all of which were either only true for the moment, or never real to begin with.
this is for the girls who have allowed a guy into their head and heart and bed, only to discover that he's just not ready, he's just not over her, he's just not looking to be tied down;
this is for the girls who believe the excuses because it's easier to believe that it's not that they don't want you, it's that they don't want anyone.
this is for the girls who have had their hearts broken and their hopes dashed by someone too cavalier to have cared in the first place;
this is for the nights spent dissecting every word and syllable and inflection in his speech, for the nights when you've returned home alone, for the nights when you've seen from across the room him leaning a little too close, or standing a little too near, or talking a little too softly for the girl he's with to be a random hookup.
this is for the girls who have endured party after party in his presence, finally having realized that it wasn't that he didn't want a relationship: it was that he didn't want you.
i honor you for the night his dog died or his grandmother died or his girlfriend broke up with him, and you held him , thinking that if you only comforted him just right, or said the right words, or rubbed his back in the right way then perhaps he'd realize what it was that he already had.
this is for the night you realized that it would never happen, and the sunrise you saw the next morning after failing to sleep.
this is for the "i really like you, so let's still be friends" comment after you read more into a situation than he ever intended;
this is for never realizing that when you choose friends, you seldom choose those which don't make you cry yourself to sleep.
this is for the hugs you've received from your female friends, for the nights they've reassured you that you are beautiful and intelligent and amazing and loyal and truly worthy of a great guy;
this is for the despair you all felt as you sat in the aftermath of your tears, knowing that that night the only companionship you'd have was with a pillow and your teddy bear.
this is for the girls who have been used and abused, who have endured what he was giving because at least he was giving something;
this is for the stupidity of the nights we've believed that something was better than nothing, though his something was nothing we'd have ever wanted.
this is for the girls who have been satisified with too little and who have learned never to expect anything more: for the girls who don't think that they deserve more, because they've been conditioned for so long to accept the scraps thrown to them by guys
Well what a wonderful day it really was.
I awoke cheery and happy for once (lol I'm not depressed I swear! =P) and eventually... Sara came shopping with me (because someone named my Dad left us high and dry in the essentials department) anyways... then I curled Sara's hair and nearly killed us all on hairspray... pretty funny. But really Sar... it looked absolutely awesome!!!!
So then from there I get ready for Blaze and Tannie comes over.
Tannie. I missed you more then words can say!!
I'm so glad we hung out today... like really truely happy. I'm so greatful we can drift apart and always manage to find one another... definately a sign of a true friend in my books! So we went to Blaze... Danae spoke about friends and said some pretty nice stuff about me afterwards when we talked. It made me happy... actually definately was a sweet little boost. So then Tannie and I drive to her place etc etc. Pick up a coffee (SO GOOD... Tanys you have to tell me what you got... so next time I get it... because that was amazing!) Anyways so then we walk around the block... and I catch her up on my life, my loves, my losses etc... same for her... really we solved the problems of the world and more.
It's really awesome to see you happy Tanys... because you definately deserve it! And you're right... let's not leave it for another 7 months lol.
So then I went out for coffee with Kaylee at about 12:45 lol... we talked (as per usual)... solved everything else that we don't solve any other time hahaha because obviously we talk like mad in that car... seriously... if cars could talk... we'd be screwed.
But now I'm super tired... perhaps because its 3 in the morning lol.
So I'm going to bed.
I love you all... I really do. And if you ever feel I underappreciate you? Let me know please... because I don't ever want a friendship to end on a sour note...

Lol. It's a dangerous thing when I get really into the deep throught process.
And I've recently come to the conclusion...
That I become lonely way too often. Actually, only recently I've started to feel the complications of everyone having a boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other.
It doesn't bother me.. but it's starting to weigh in on me. And that is never good.
Is it.
Monday, 24 April 2006

So I saw this picture whilst going through the vastness that is the internet, because well I want to make a new layout for the blog. Tommy isn't cutting it anymore (GASP) at this time anyways lol.
So I'm looking for something a little more... spring like. We shall see I'm sure.
So I wanted to lounge around today... have an utterly lazy day.
But no... I got woken up this morning at 8 and I was super tired... and now I have to go look at a house with my mom for Susan Packota. Yikes.
And well... as far as plans for tonight are concerned... I'm not really sure.
Obviously something with Dusty... because he yelled at me yesterday cuz we didn't do something... sheesh.
Touchy.
So I'll write more when more happens... blarg.
Sunday, 23 April 2006
Okay. So nothing against Janine, Liz, Aaron, Evan or even Kaylee...
I love hanging out with you more then anything in the world...
But tonight?
The change in scenery was so greatly needed.
It all started off with Sara and Andrew (whom reminds me of someone but I can't quite put a finger on it) picking me up... and us meeting Jordan, Gerrit, Alex and shoot I cant remember the other two's names. Dammit mother. Oh well. That's okay. So we go to see When A Stranger Calls. And you and I both know I despise scary movies... but the only thing that made me jump was when that damned black cat came leaping out. Everything else was highly humerous. A handful of people were laughing at parts of the movie. Scary? Not a chance. So we all head out... and then whoa its called lets be random and chill underneath the Circle Drive Bridge (on the other side... not the eastsiders... side). So then of course came the game of lets run down the rampy thingy and touch the poles and run back... whilst being stealth and not being seen by the cars driving by.
Mind you I would have participated had I not been in flip flops. (damn them) So they fool around for a bit... but it gets so DAMNED cold... (not the mention the seagulls were freaking me out). So then we head over to Tim Hortons, cept I end up going in Jordans car (and yes Alex. From now on... when I'm around and going into Jordan's car... I so call shotgun lol) and of course played Panic! At The Disco... cuz they obviously rock. Kudos on good taste Jordan!
So then we sit around at Tim's for a bit (after Hilary (sp) and Jackie met up with us at the bridge... sorry guys theres just so many names to remember lol) So then I remember I was supposed to call Dusty... but he had already headed out to a party... and was slightly... nay.. very intoxicated. So drunken phone calls were quite entertaining. I ended up talking to Donovin which made me happy cuz I miss that kid... So the phone gets passed around and around while I talk to people I have no idea who they are... so Sara ups and decides we're gonna go visit them. So... we drive to get Carter's car (which has an awesome stereo haha and Sara... nice choice of songs hahaha) So from there we drive to Holy Cross... to some dudes place. Where we meet up with Dusty and Donovin, and to my surprise, Brody and David Wallings. (sp.. w/e) which was pretty sweet. So we chilled there... watched Dusty 'express' himself about a particular couple with gyrations on Donovin and a wall. It was pretty funny. Sara's cleanliness came out when we sat on a pool table with some drinks... I don't even need to explain that one. lol. So after a while there we said our goodbyes and had our slight talks... and now I'm home!
But seriously... to you northenders? Thanks for the general change of Eastside stiffness lol. I owe you =P
Some quotes from the night... actually more or less from Dusty/Donovin & The Boys. To the northies... comment your own funny quotes here lol.
"This is Sara... she plays Kaiser ---- it's such a Saskatchewan thing."
"We totally have to hang out more..... seriously."
"Hey... what's on my head -- it's a tie -- oh... haha... cool..."
"Brody's got pube hair... curly pube hair!"
"I would so do him if he was a chick..."
Haha. Gotta get up early. Church tomorrow... Dad leaves =( at about 2 ish. So sad.
So I'm going to call it a night.
Thanks everyone!
Love yas!

Okay. So I definately have the bestest friends ever.
Although I don't express it as often as I should (same goes for them) I just love being with them. Tonight was a night full of randomness. It starts off like this: Coffee at Tim Hortons (saw Raegan which was good!!! and Aaron tried his best to update her on the OC)... some funny Asians beside us... Liz and Evan meeting up with us. From there we all go to Liz's, pile into Evan's car. Go to Shoppers where we get yelled at for going in the wrong door (stupid hoe-bag lady) in search of fireworks. So we end up going to a gas-station in Sutherland. From there we by a crap load of Roman Candles and something called a Venus. Naturally enter some penis jokes in there... plus an accent. Oh yes. Then we meet up with Dusty and Brody at Lawson Heights mall and they follow us just north of the city where we light the roman candles and throw them and have fun... until one comes screaming in between us all and almost hits Liz and some other people. (It was really scary okay) . Then from there we go to McDonalds, then to Evan's where we watch Sex And The City, play some pool and ping-pong (in which I was humbled because of Dusty, whom later showed up, because he beat me with his left hand... when he's right handed.) And sooner then we thought, 3 am rolled around and well... I needed sleep. So all in all? It was an amazing night and I was oh so happy. We shared some really good laughs over the Venus... Dusty's driving in comparrison to Evan's... I got laughing so hard at some points, my sides began to hurt. That and Janine really got me hooked on
The All-American Rejects. The song
I Can't Take It... is so good. I get goosebumps.
I cannot tell you how much I needed that night. I'm done school everyone... how fricken sweet is that. Kiss my ass University and suck on your own junk! BAHA!
I need sleep though... Dad leaves on Sunday for England and it's parents day tomorrow! Yay! Family bonding! (and there really isn't sarcasm in that sentence)
So, goodnight one and all!
Love you!
Friday, 21 April 2006

I've needed a lot of lately... I know. But I still feel like something inside me is missing. And I still cannot pin-point what it is! Music definately has been making me think more and more (because you and I both know that music is just wicked awesome when it comes to emotions... you all have your sappy songs, your angry songs, your feel good songs... don't even deny it!) So... of course I listen to Keith Urban on a frequent basis... and I've heard this song many a time... however it was the chorus of a particular song that really struck me... Something about it really applied to me at the time that I was listening to it. So, here's the chorus to Tonight I Wanna Cry by Keith Urban. You all should know it... I mean it really is played enough lol.
I've never been the kind to ever let my feelings show
And I thought that bein' strong,
meant never losin' your self-control
But I'm just drunk enough to let got of my pain
To hell with my pride, let it fall like rain
From my eyes
Tonight I wanna cry
I would have to say it was the line about I thought that bein' strong meant never losin' your self control. I do that on a frequent basis. I don't usually let my feelings show completely... you and I know that I'm a very secluded person for the most part... really I am. I've had people (namely two) make a mission to crack me because I'm so withdrawn in myself.
So what am I going to do to clear my head?
Go for a walk... but I found a new place to sit.
Much prettier.

Okay. Recap of today?
Sitting around... studying for a bit.
Janine, decides to walk to Aaron's for O.C. Let's just say 35 minutes is NOT enough time to get there from here. So there was a fair share of running. Woo.
So it's O.C... which was intense. Then we go to MidTown for bras lol. Aaron and Adam are pleased. Then we head back to Janine's after ordering pizza over the phone (yay for free pizza coupons!) and the boys take Adam's car to get the pizza, Janine and I get the pop... meet back at Aarons... eat. Liz and Evan come over... then Dusty. Then we migrate to the other room. Naturally a couch being shared by myself, Adam and Dusty is cause for some girlish antics by the other two members of the fairer gender... sigh. From there we get into a heated debate about Natives... and then I go home with Janine lol.
It was pretty exciting I must say.
Blaze was good too yesterday. Family social on Saturday. AND I'M FREE AS OF 5 and a half hours! Thank God!
Tuesday, 18 April 2006
Now I remember as to why I love Disney movies...
I still fit in the right state of mind.
<3
A simple evening with two people I love being with!
My secret sister and my big brother.
I missed you guys!!
Watching TV with you in sweats and munching on junk food.
Just what the doctor ordered.
Then coffee with Kaylee!
Okay... here's a question for you. If you went to a Tim Hortons and a couple went into the little area just before the doors of the washrooms and shut the door... then there was some odd banging with some giggling.. what you assume was going on?
Probably a mad make-out session?
Well next time... consider them playing with a bouncy ball.
Funniest EVER.
Then there's that choch in the poorly mechanicized truck.
Idiot.
Random drives and whatnot.
Pure awesomeness.
I feel TONS better.
Thanks darlin!!!
Monday, 17 April 2006
Okay gang. Don't ask how I stumbled across this song... well actually it's not bad. Ashley Angel... a former pop prince that was produced and is a product of today's mainline Hollywood team (aka... a sickening display of no talent created by the industry) ANYWAYS. He's on that new celebrity reality show, Celebrity Cookoff (or whatever it's called.) So, upon remember those days that O-Town was a huge hit... (2001, so 5 years ago boys and girls... meaning were about 13 years old... i'll give you a moment to relish in the memories of the entering of teenage-hood)
............
Okay, now that that has passed. What the hell in God's name were the productions team of this band.. (dare I call it a band?)... no... group thinking? Their first song? Liquid Dreams?
Ew... sick!
Here's the lyrics... read them carefully:
Posters of love surrounding me, I'm lost in a world of fantasy
Every night she comes to me and gives me all the love I need
Now this hot girl, she's not your average girl
She's a morpharotic dream from a magazine
And she's so fine designed to blow your mind
She's a dominatrix supermodel beauty queen
I dream about a girl who's a mix of Destiny's Child
Just a little touch Madonna's wild style
With Janet Jackson's smile, throw in a body like Jennifer's
You've got the star of my liquid dream
Angelina Jolie's lips to kiss in the dark
Underneath Cindy C's beauty mark
When it comes to the test well Tyra's the best
And Salma Hayek brings the rest
Now this hot girl, she's not your average girl
She's a morpharotic dream from a magazine
And she's so fine designed to blow your mind
She's a dominatrix supermodel beauty queen
I dream about a girl who's a mix of Destiny's Child
Just a little touch Madonna's wild style
With Janet Jackson's smile, throw in a body like Jennifers'
You've got the star of my liquid dreams
Looks ain't everything she's got the sweetest personality
Like Halle B
My mama thinks I'm lazy, my friends all think I'm crazy
But in my mind, I leave the world behind every night I dream
Oh..
Liquid Dreams, my Liquid Dreams
Waterfalls and streams, these liquid dreams
I dream about a girl who's a mix of Destiny's Child
Just little touch of Madonna's wild style
With Janet Jackson's smile
Throw in a body like Jennifer's
You've got the star of my liquid dreams
My liquid dreams--------------------
Morpharotic? It's not a word people. But that I assure you is the LEAST of our problems. Let's start at the beginning. Let me set the scene.
We have a teenage adolecent, talking about his room that is covered in posters where he basically wacks off everynight because of them and his intense sexual fantasies. A dream from a magazine? Well perhaps he's not in his room... perhaps he's plastered his bathroom with posters while holding this months issue of Playboy while on the can. Oh yes, you can just feel the burning passion. So then of course the remainder of the song, they're listing off different traits that different woman in music possess. (You'd think they would have chosen better.. but that's irrelevent), you'd think this song couldn't get any worse... well guess what... IT DOES.
It is now we address the bridge of the song. Sorry.. we have to address something that will grab the attention of all the other teenage girls that haven't fallen for the fact that they are a fabricated boy band... address the
personality of the girl. Oh, how sweet! They're thoughtful about looks aren't everything... when the entire song is putting together the ideal woman. Odd. But, alright. Let's continue. My Mama thinks I'm lazy? Okay, scene set-up time again. No wonder your mother thinks your lazy... you spend countless hours of the evening getting off to some pictures around your room/magazines. Wouldn't you as a mother be concerned if this was a habit that has gone FAR passed routine? Lazy? I can just picture some mother going, enough playtime with yourself... go bone the next girl that walks... then I won't think you have a condition or something we'll need to address with the doctor.
And you're friends think you're crazy? Well ya... I wouldn't want to shake your hand ever if I found out your obsessive habits? Shoot! I'd probably be freaked out by you, and wondering why you aren't coming out on Friday nights to the parties because you need some 'alone time'.
And of course... Liquid Dream? Hello wet-dream. Okay ew.
Now let's think about this again. THIRTEEN. I'm going to bet money on it... that you didn't catch everything that this song meant... perhaps some of you did. I know I didn't... I was a naive thirteen year old. But what the F, why would they let that out there? WHO WROTE THIS? Is it an autobiography of the writer? No wonder he's not in the spotlight.. can you imagine the tabloids on that guy?
That's my opinion and i'm sticking too it.
Well after a well deserved cry last night, and finally dragging myself out of bed this morning.. (make that afternoon). I feel better.
I thought about it... and well I have three best friends in my life that I know who love and care about me, and there are many others that re-assured me. Random text messages in the night definately are something I like waking up to.
So... I feel better.
I know there's some things that I gotta work on to make sure I don't get upset about things like this... but... I know who I am... that's all that matters. It's up to everyone else to take the time to figure me out... not for me to blatently share my deepest darkest thoughts on a regular basis.
I'm a deep person... it might frighten you! lol.
Sara --> I <3 you! Things will pass. I promise more then anything. Sometimes you just need some bummer down time to appreciate the good things even more.
Jordan --> Have fun with those wisdom teeth... read your comment about taking pictures... haha and enjoy the wonderous trip they put you on as they take them out =P
And we'll be in touch. School climbing? Haha. I have a look about me Jordan? I don't know about climbing schools... but I'm good at scaling trees at the lake... maybe that'll come in handy? You should scale Hardy. They have poles (that are on about a 45 degree angle) that leads to one part of the roof. It'd be fun) Perhaps you should just keep a footstool or something like that in your car. lol those... Just in casers =P
Anyways.. I gotta clean today.. then possibly something with Janine and Aaron tonight. Yay.
I love you all! <3
Sunday, 16 April 2006
Happy Easter everyone.
It's a day of celebration, of rejoice, of love and relationships and companionship...
Then why do I feel alone all of a sudden...
I went for about a three hour walk today after lunch. I sat in Briarwood by the lake. And for some reason I just started to cry. Something about today, the past, my concerns for the future just welled up into tears. If someone had of walked by they may have been concerned about me.
I came to terms with a lot of things... even though I still hold this empty pit in my stomach. I came to know that I'm never going to win in a particular game, so I might as well move on, even though it still hurts like hell. I learned that I have a serious issue with being pushed aside, or seen as the inadaquate part of a group of sorts. That I will try and put a stop to. I think I just need some cheering up with some people I know love and care for me.
And then there's a few things that I cannot get out of my mind...
It almost seems hard to get up in the mornind now. Remember my blog a while ago about that up and coming wave? I think I just hit it... and now it's starting to pull me under...
Tonight I went out for coffee with someone. I thought we had moved passed this... but apparently we haven't. You don't understand me, nor will I let you understand me. I feel bad saying it but let it go. Please. I'm having enough inner termoil... I don't need this on top of it.

So Kaylee and I ventured off the wonderful world of Drive In Movies tonight. What did we watch?
Well... today you will get a special taste of my critiquing abilities.
Welcome To The Wonderful World Of
Jamie's Rating System.
Yup, that's right. I'm going to type you a synopsis of the movie, give you a general opinion from yours truly and give it a star rating.
First movie of the night was:
She's The Man"
It's hard enough being the nerdy new guy on campus without also being the new girl on campus, who has fallen for the coolest guy on campus, who is totally obsessed with the most beautiful girl on campus, who is crushing on the nerdy new guy on campus.Viola Johnson (Amanda Bynes) had her own good reasons for disguising herself as her twin brother Sebastian (James Kirk) and enrolling in his place at his new boarding school, Illyria Prep. She was counting on Sebastian being AWOL from school as he tried to break into the music scene in London. What she didn't count on was falling in love with her hot roommate, Duke (Channing Tatum), who in turn only has eyes for the beautiful Olivia (Laura Ramsey). Making matters worse, Olivia is starting to fall for Sebastian, who-for reasons Olivia couldn't begin to guess-appears to be the sensitive type of guy she'd always dreamed of meeting. If things weren't complicated enough, the real Sebastian has come back from London two days earlier than expected and arrives on campus having no clue that he's been replaced...by his own twin sister."
A few quotes:[After getting hit with a soccer ball in the crotch and all the guys go OOOO! ow..eeek.]
Viola (as Sebastian):" Oh.. right.. OWWWW! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! IT BURNS! "
-----
Duke: "I'm not really good at talking to girls."
Viola (as Sebastian): "Why? You're hot!"
Duke: "What?"
Viola (as Sebastian): [clears throat] "You know... you're an appealing guy...man...guy...guy-man."
---> Okay. This movie is pretty straight forward. It's not hard to follow. But that's why it's awesome. Amanda Bynes (although I can find somewhat annoying at times) seems pretty normal... a down to earth girl in general. She wants to play soccer... her Mother wants her to wear frilly dresses. With funny innuendos and simplistic jokes. It's actually a really awesomely funny movie. Once you think you've figured it out and that it'll be simple to the end.. something else gets thrown in there for the loop. It was highly entertaining. A no-brainer... just what I needed.
Jamie's Rating: **** out of five *'s
------------------------------------------
V For Vendetta"
Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V For Vendetta tells the story of a mild-mannered young woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked vigilante (Hugo Weaving) known only as "V." Profoundly complex, V is at once literary, flamboyant, tender and intellectual, a man dedicated to freeing his fellow citizens from those who have terrorized them into compliance. He is also bitter, revenge-seeking, lonely and violent, driven by a personal vendetta. In his quest to free the people of England from the corruption and cruelty that have poisoned their government, V condemns the tyrannical nature of their appointed leaders and invites his fellow citizens to join him in the shadows of Parliament on November the 5th - Guy Fawkes Day. On that day in 1605, Guy Fawkes was discovered in a tunnel beneath Parliament with 36 barrels of gunpowder. He and his co-conspirators had engineered the treasonous "Gunpowder Plot" in response to the tyranny of their government under James I. Fawkes and his fellow saboteurs were hanged, drawn and quartered, and their plan to take down their government never came to pass. In the spirit of that rebellion, in remembrance of that day, V vows to carry out the plot that Fawkes was executed for attempting on November 5th in 1605: he will blow up Parliament. As Evey uncovers the truth about V's mysterious past, she also discovers the truth about herself - and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plan to ignite a revolution, bringing freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption."
A few quotes:V: "I, like God, do not play with dice and do not believe in coincidence"
-----
V: "VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose so let me simply add that it's my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V."
Evey: "Are you like, a crazy person?"
V: "I'm quite sure they will say so"
---> Okay so I really enjoyed this movie. It's a real thinking movie... and you definitely have to be on your feet and make sure you listen very carefully. But they do address some serious concerns about the government versus the people. Another quote from it... that I think sticks out is: "People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people" I agree with this fully. So basically this movie is a very well directed, very well thought out movie. A vigilante if you will standing up against the power that a government can gain over many many years. Amazing.

I don't know why I'm writting in my blog... I mean in essense I really should be getting ready for the evening... studying... something. The boys want me to come with them to the Draggin's car show. Which would be fun... if they remember to call me. Knowing Greg's track record... we'll see. I MAY have to call him myself.
I've also found a very neat song that gives me goosebumps... but really shouldn't. Amanda Wilkinson's No More Me And You. I'm not usually a huge country fan (but let's not start a rant that could end up on Alex's blog or something) but something about the minors and key changes that she does are just... really really cool. I'm also finally realizing that I'll be at the lake soon... which would be fabulous.
Also.. I've had another life altering oppertunity presented to me. Nana had mentioned that the youth group of Trinity church was really failing and that they could use some help. Now... although I don't have any training or anything... something about it seems really appealing to me. Well that and the fact that Allie might go to the U of M.... wouldn't that be flipping sweet.
But on that note I really am going to go get ready... in case Darrick or Greg calls.
Toodleoo!
--------------------
Okay, so Greg did remember to call. So he and Jordan swung by to pick me up and we headed over to Draggin's and saw all the wicked awesome cars. Ran into Darrick and Shane... talked to them for a bit. Saw Tanner and some of his friends... including Kevin. So whatever time passes time passes. Then they all decide to go to Rickies.. but it was closing so we all sat outside.. the boys smoked a bit lol. Funniest thing I've seen in a while was Tanner with a bandana on his head and a pipe in his mouth. Wow. So from there some girls meet up with them. One being Jade. So she and I talked for a bit... and then Greg went and grabbed some beer and were all gonna head back to Tanner's. I don't know... something about someone I previously mentioned just rubs me the wrong way. So I opted out of going. Nicely enough Greg took me home and we had an awesome talk on the way back about cars and how this chick/dude reved his/her engine of the truck... and how Greg felt like the biggest choch EVER because he was driving his cousins car... which was all show... no give lol. It was pretty funny.
Now... It's 10:30, I called Janine and Aaron and they're out with Liz, Evan, Nathan, possibly Cara, and Adam at Fairhaven bowl. So they said they'd call me when they got back in the area.
And for some reason... at this moment in time I feel like a part of me died. I don't really know what it is... but I really feel like I died a bit inside.
I need some cheering up... so I hope the guys call me not too late (because I have a final tomorrow)
There's a song I've become really attached to. I know it's a country song... but as I said the changes are just beautiful. I really recommend listening to it. Here's my favourite lines... aka the ones that apply to me most:
"Just let me keep on thinking
The grass is green and the sky is blue
Just leave me the sweet illusions..."
"And I've gotta keep on walking around acting normal
And I've gotta keep on saying a prayer
And I've gotta keep on givin a care..."
Later days guys.

So lately, I've taken a liking to black and white photography. I don't know why, but something about it I find truely comforting. It's edgy yet at the same time holds a sense of class and timeless beauty.
Maybe I've just gone stupid and don't have anything better to do with my life then appreciate good camera work.
Perhaps.
Or perhaps I've been thinking a lot about the simpler things in life.
Today after my world religions final, I got back the assignment I did at the beginning of the term.
And one of the questions I had to answer had to do with boundries. What if there weren't any boundries in life... what if you could do whatever you wanted whenever you wanted. (Now note... I don't mean that in the go out a raid stores without consequences type of whatever whenever you wanted) but... more or less you didn't have obsticles or boundries in your life.
My answer? Well it's as follows:
"Personally, if my life held no boundaries or limits, I'd probably still be on the same path I've chosen now. My goal in life is simply to reach a state of comfortable happiness. Happiness to me is the thing that makes the world go around. Well, that and love. I'm an idealist when it comes to bliss. Yes there will be stuggles and pain and suffering, but to me, my goal in life is simply to be happy and ocntent with the things I have, the people I love and whatever my career may be. I don't seek the reward of a large fortune (although it could be nice), nor do I seek the perfect job. I want to be content with the choices I have made and plan to make. I want to become someone who leads a life that can be smiled upon, or one that I can wake up everyday and find something to be happy with. Happiness is something that cna affect everyone around you and that's how I would also like to be remembered. I want to be known as the person who was always on the upbeat, the sunshine on a cloudy day, the person who could smile and see the good in even the worst of situations. In general, what I am most passionate about is life and love, and the happiness that can evolve from both."
Now, let me elaborate/summerize. I seek contentment. I could live in a shack, but if I'm with the one I love and am happy with my surrounding.. then I could care less about my income, or what others think. It's a personal bliss that really drives me. If I'm happy... I know others will be happy. (I hope that doesn't sound.. concieted or something) But really. If Jamie's in a bad mood... I can take people down with me. That's why I'm always on the cheerful side... because even if I'm having a shitty day... doesn't mean anyone else should.
Maybe that's why I like this type of photography... it makes me content. It's so clear. It either is or isn't. Yes or no.
It's just, black and white...
[P.s] I like this Tommy Layout WAY better then the last one.

It's
Tommy Lee!
Up and running!
Hip Hip Horray!
Okay now that that is done and over with... I can simply say... I hate being sick and it can die something nasty.
F* you cold.
I'm going to have a nap.
Janine? Haha let's move to Regina hahahaha.
But seriously. Let's do it. It'd be random and fun... and heck we wouldn't be gone THAT long. And it's not like we'd get sick of eachother... we both like our solitary time... heck. It'd be a blast. A chance to come to terms with ourselves as people without anyone else! Also.. perfect oppertunity to think about you're future 'wink wink nudge nudge'. lol.
Okay.. I'm done that hype. It'd be cool to move away. Come back on weekends. Heck... I'd do it. But again... I'm pretty sure it's one of those whim things that I get.
I saw this on Kate's blog. I think I had the first half of it up here once... but it's the second half that makes it that much better lol:
"Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Now Men... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the shit out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with."
Wonderfully wonderful wouldn't you say.
Anyways, it's sleeping time.. then study time, then Blaze time! Woo Hoo!

Have you ever come to notice that things come in sequence... or waves of other things. For example. If there's stress in your life? It all comes at once. If you have joy? It all comes at once.
And if you have drama in your life, and a wave has passed... you know another one is on the way.
I'm hoping to be wrong, more or less praying to be wrong... but things have been going so amazing lately that I'm just waiting for something to come crashing down on me like a ton of bricks. I'm so prone to slipping into depression over the stupidest things. I really take things to heart like that. I should learn not to, I know, but being happy doesn't always have it's upsides. I'm optimistic and bubbly 90% of the time. But as we know the world works in pairs, in its counterparts, which means that other 10% I'm pretty much dead inside. I may not show it; I've learn to cope with it because if I ever truely showed that side of me? I'd either hurt myself, or the others around me. It's fine... I mean none of you have noticed it. Nor should you. I'm the strong, sensible one who doesn't get fogged by stupid minor things. It's true, I don't. Unless you catch me on one of those 10% days. This is why I like my blog. I mean... it let's me talk and vent without fear of anyone really caring. I know a lot of people read this... lol but don't think of it like I'm some manic depressive who needs help or needs meds or something. Heaven's no. Everyone has their ups and downs, and yes, some more severe then others. I'm fine. The odd hug is awesome but I'm fine. I'm just in fear that this high tide I'm riding is going to come crashing down and crashing down hard.
There's a few people and situations that have been in my thoughts the past two days... and to those few people... I'm prayin' for ya. I'm also rooting for ya. Things will pull through. Things always work out for the better in the end... sometimes we just don't see it.
History final? Pretty peasly... and that's not saying much... cuz I don't think that's even a word. It went well. The End lol.
Made me sad though... cuz that's the class where everything just sorta, started getting my life good again.
Go team.
Night all... I get to sleep in for once in the first time in too long a time.
Sweet dreams!
P.S. I'm working on a new layout... featuring... none other... then.... the love of my life.... Tommy Lee. Hoo-rah. <3

No more blame I am destined to keep you sane.
Gotta rescue the flame.
Gotta rescue the flame in your heart.
No more blood, I will be there for you my love.
I will stand by your side.
The world has forsaken my girl.
Should of seen it would be this way.
Should of known from the start what she's up to.
When you've loved and you've lost someone
You know what it feels like to lose.
She's fading away, away from this world.
Drifting like a feather she's not like the other girls.
She lives in the clouds and talks to the birds.
Hopeless little one she's not like the other girls I know.
No more shame, she has felt too much pain in her life.
In her mind she's repeating the words.
All the love you put out will return to you.
Should of seen it would be this way.
Should of known from the start what she's up to.
When you loved and you've lost someone close to you
You know what it feels like to lose.
(bakground voice: you know what it feels like to lose)
She's fading away, away from this world.
Drifting like a feather she's not like the other girls.
She lives in the clouds and talks to the birds.
Hopeless little one she's not like the other girls I know.

Saw this on a friends blog... and for those of you who know me... I've been a fan of the Rasmus for a long time. Come on now.. I introduced you all (at least from Hardy) to In The Shadows. Anyways.. I was curious about this song.. so I downloaded it. And Jordan's right... it's just a really really good song.
And because I AM one for putting lyrics; Here ya go!
History final tomorrow. Gotta sleep and study more. Multi-tasking at its best.
Night all!
Wish me luck!

So there it is.
I've officially completed my first (and hopefully only) year of University. But truthfully? It's certainly bittersweet. I'm so happy to be done and out of it to persue what I want... yet at the same time I'm very sad at the fact that I don't get to share those wonderful memories with the people I grew to know and love seeing each and every day for the last 8 months.
Playing cards
Making prank phone calls
Slushies
Walking through the cove... laughing at the DDR people.
Seeing touque boy
Snatching the best table we could
History class in general
The hobbit hole
All those silly little traditions we grew accustom to.
Actually... writing this almost brings tears to my eyes.
I suppose this applies to the last post I wrote. I'm so blessed and lucky I got to meet you all. Let's see if I can name them all. Sara (most importantly), Jordan, Kate, Michelle L, Michelle G, Katherine, Dana, Alex, Kayla, Becca, Will, Andrew, Gerrit, Clay, Carter, Josh, Pablo, Chris, Troy, Tanner, Raegan. I think that about covers it really. (If I missed you and you read this... let me know)
But back to the point. At a time when my exterior was happy and joyous, yet my insides were rotting away inside, you came and filled a space in my heart that I needed. I owe you all my sincere and utter gratitude for including me in your shanagans and friends. It made my University experience completely and utterly rememberal.
I hope that we cross paths in future to come, because at this point in time, there's one or two on here I will fight to stay in contact with... the others will just fall into place.
Thanks for the funtimes guys... 1000's of pictures taken truely sum up the last 8 months. Best of luck to you guys on your finals... and best to you in the future.
Keep in touch.
You know where to find me.
Thursday, 6 April 2006
I think I'm going to go off on a rant again today.
Why? Because my insides are stirring with something unsettling and I'm not sure what that is.
I've truely grown up this past school year (considering its already over.. what the hell). I've met some incredible people that picked me up when I needed picking up the most in my entire life. You guys caught me at my lowest and accepted who I was right off the bat. I cannot even express to you in words how much that means to me. And even if we never talk again (Which I really really hope we continue to talk; plus you owe me time to take pictures of you and your drunken insanity lol) just know that I really won't forget you. You impacted me.
This brings me to my next conversation piece. What we were talking about in blaze yesterday. It was talking about influence, and the impact on people you can have. Make an effort to make a difference in someones life every day. Janine and I were talking about this. How you have friends that come and go in your life. They enter your life when you need them, and leave just as quickly as they came. There's the seasonal friend... as we put it were around for a bit longer but you grew apart or don't have the oppertunity to see eachother often (this could apply to lake friends etc.) and then there's the lifetime friends. It's been amazing to come to terms with all three of these definitions. I've figured out all three.
I'm not one for naming names... but here we go.
A friend who was there when I needed them, but left just as quickly? Chelsie. I love her to bits and she helped me come to terms with myself as a person. But as quickly as we became friends, we split apart. She impacted me, and I'll always remember her. Then there is the seasonal. First for those friends whom grew apart? Well we all know this one. It's Kayla. I still love Kayla, and truthfully she's come up in conversation fairly often since we had our outburst. It's unavoidable; she's everywhere in my room lol. But for someone like her? I learned a lot from her. She taught me so much and showed me so much about life and what friendship meant. But even the good friendship we held couldn't last, and we grew apart. But again... she will always be appreciated, and seen as an impact on my life.
Lastly? Those lifetime friends. I'm so lucky I've met so many that I can see myself growing up with... that I can talk with till the day I die. Janine, Aaron, Liz, Kaylee, Tanys, Allie and Sean and even Sara. I will always see myself staying in touch with you and making a concious effort to put time out of my life to see you, to listen and be there for you, to share laughs and cry with, to hold your hand in times of trouble. I will make the effort. I promise you.
So thank you for opening my eyes to the wide variety of friendships a single girl can have. I'm so greatful for the friends I hold right now at this very moment. I don't think I've ever felt so close to them ever. And for once in my life, there's no trauma, no sideline hatred or jealousy, no coming home crying about something someone did or said. You're pretty much on the road to understanding me.
So thanks guys, I love you with all my heart and I too will try to make an impact on your life in some way each day to show you just how much I appreciate you.

My ears are ringing, my feet are sore, I smell like booze and weed;

I cannot express to you how amazing this show was; I'm too tired to think straight... so I'll blog tomorrow.
Rock on ya'll! F*** YEAH!
Saturday, 1 April 2006
I remember the moments as to why you mean the world to me.
It's amazing how much time flies. You and I have had our moments, but they never lasted long. I'm so lucky to have a friend like you! I'm so happy we talked like that again!
